      VLC Media Player โปรแกรมที่เน้นการใช้งานเพื่อการดูหนัง โดยเฉพาะมีฟังก์ชันที่จำเป็นสำหรับการปรับแต่งเล็กๆ น้อยๆ เพื่อให้การดูหนังมีอรรถรสที่เพิ่มมากขึ้น

      VLC Media Player  รองรับการทำงานกับไฟล์ได้หลายประเภท ไม่ว่าจะเป็น VCD,DVD,CD Audio, DivX,MPEG1,MPEG2,MPEG4 , MP3   หรือ OGG  การแสดงผลมีให้เลือกทั้งแบบหน้าต่างขนาดเล็กแต่สามารถปรับขาดได้หรือแบบ Full Screen ที่แสดงผลเต็มหน้าจอคอมพิวเตอร์เลย

   ขอกล่าวถึงการทำงานในส่วนของ Playlists สักหน่อยอยากแนะำนำให้คณเพิ่มรายชื่อไฟล์ที่เป็นไฟล์ VDO หรือภาพเคลื่อนไหวเข้าไปไว้ใน  Playlists ที่เดียวเลยเวลาเรียกดูจะได้ไม่ขาดตอน เหมาะสำหรับพวกคลิปสั้นๆ

    ความสามารถที่เยี่ยมที่สุดสำหรับ VLC Media Player คือ ไฟล์หนังที่ยังดาวน์โหลดไม่เสร็จยังไม่สามารถใช้โปรแกรมพวก Windows Media Player  เปิดดูได้ เพราะนามสกุลของไฟล์ยังไม่สมบรูณ์ แต่สำหรับโปรแกรม VLC Media Player สามารถเปิดดูได้แต่ภาพที่แสดงออกมานั้น  อาจไม่เรียงกันตามความเป็นจริงอาจจะมีการข้ามฉากบ้าง และความยาวที่สามารถดูได้นั้นขึ้นอยู่กับความสมบรูณ์ของไฟล์ที่ดาวน์โหลดด้วยว่ามากน้อยเพียงใด  เรียกได้ว่าไฟล์ทุกประเภทสามารถใช้งานร่วมกับ VLC Media Player ได้อย่างดี
